Vogue’s flattering article on Syria’s first lady... →
Vogue will never be able to erase this atrocious mistake from my memory. Instead of erasing the article, they should have issued a public apology for glorifying the First Lady of a regime that has oppressed its’ people always. Click the title link above to see more from The Washington Post.

Seeking A New Beach Bag
I’m counting down the days until I get to leave for Costa Rica at the end of May. With that said, there’s a long list of items I need in order to be ready for this trip. I have a closet full of work clothes, but not so many beach-friendly items. Among the things I need is a bag that can go from beach to dinner and everywhere in between. Maybe one of these will work?

Rachel Zoe Back-Tassel Flat Sandal
Rachel Zoe is a MAJOR style influence for me. While I don’t generally lean towards her boho-glam style, I admire her drive as a business woman while never compromising on her personal style. Her new venture into design has unsurprisingly peeked my interest. I came across this amazing sandal from her new spring collection on Neiman Marcus. These could worn with everything; dressed up,...

Has Urban Outfitters Gone Too Far?
Thought I’d keep Friday exciting with some fashion world drama. A friend recently showed me that Urban Outfitters is selling a new tee (see picture on left) which features a Magen David—a.k.a. a Jewish Star—on the left breast pocket of the shirt. It is causing outrage because the combination of yellow + a Jewish star = a very famous symbol from the Holocaust (see picture on...

Adrienne Vittadini Leather Platform Sandal
I think this is the perfect summer platform. Comfortable enough to walk around in all day and soak up the sun, while also cute! And for under $50 this is a great buy from Rue La La.

Should I Feel Guilty For Wanting These?
Torn if these ShoeDazzle shoes are totally awesome or absolutely terrible. Will take into consideration all feedback because I’m uncertain. Would you wear these? Would you still be friends with me I wore them?

Dying for Deepa Gurnani
One of the great things about large online shopping retailers is that you can discover new designers. On Friday, I was exposed to Deepa Gurnani. Her bead work on all sorts of accessories, particularly handbags and headbands, are amazing. I can rarely resist a well-beaded item and the clutch/strap purse (you can remove the strap—2 bags in one!) above will be a test of my will power. You can...

Mint + Coral Dress
I never imagined that two of my favorite colors could come together in one dress. Not sure why I believed this task to be impossible, but regardless I was very excited to discover such an item on Lulu’s. If the back were a bit different, I’d definitely buy it. But for those of you who can go bra-less without any issues, you should definitely pick this up. This would be perfect for a...

Century 21’s C21 Club is featuring some great summer items appropriately categorized as “bold and bright.” These items are all very affordable, so it’s okay if you feel like you could only wear them for one season. Ugh, Swimsuits
I’m like any other girl. While I love shopping, I dread shopping for swimming attire. Regardless of whether or not my midsection is bikini-ready (FYI it definitely is not), swimsuit shopping brings to the surface all my self-perceived body issues. But, I’m not going to let these insecurities prevent me from tanning pool side or getting sand between my toes at whatever beach I may...
