Saw this Reem Acra gown on Gilt Groupe and my jaw immediately dropped. It’s so simple and so gorgeous. This is a dream dress, unfortunately without a dream price tag.
My First Outfist Post
While this blog primarily features the many things I desire, I thought I should start showing some of the items that have actually caused me to cave into my cravings. So, here’s my first go at an outfit post!
Over the holiday weekend, I had the pleasure of attending one of my boyfriend’s oldest friend’s wedding in Virgina Beach, VA. I scored this amazing Vera Wang gown at a Gilt Groupe/Gilt City sample sale last year and have been waiting to wear it ever since. This wedding required formal attire, so it seemed like a great occasion to finally pull this out of my closet and off the hanger. Originally, I was a bit hesitant about wearing brown to a Summer wedding, but I think it worked out just fine.
Most importantly, the wedding was a blast and the couple was so happy throughout. To give you a taste of how fun the wedding was, the groom and his fellow Navy friends reenacted the famous bar singing scene from Top Gun. It was done perfectly. I was honored to be a part of a true celebration!

I adore this gold bracelet on sale at Gilt Groupe. To me, it looks like an infinite numbers of hearts intertwined and linked together. It’s quite a special piece for just under $100.
This Rachel Zoe LBD is everything, as I’m sure the designer herself would describe it. But really, this dress embodies many of my favorite attributes when looking for a go-to going out dress: flare (sequins), flattering (black), and fun (sequins, again). Gilt Groupe is selling it for $179, but they were already out of my size by the time I was able to see it yesterday. Hopefully, some wait listing magic will work in my favor.
This great woven Thakoon tank top is on sale at Gilt Groupe now. It’s styled perfectly, although I’d probably be more likely to wear this with a pencil skirt to my office. I love that you could also swap the skirt for some shorts or jeans and still have a sleek outfit. While the $129 price tag may feel steep, paying that much for such a versatile piece is worthwhile.
These Schutz wedges are on sale at Gilt for $99 (originally $199). I absolutely love the color. These would go great with a pair of white shorts or a white dress for that matter. Really, these wedges are an awesome summer accessory!
This jersey maxi dress by Cluny is stunning. If paired with a black belt around the waist, I think it would be an absolutely perfect outfit. Have to hold back with all my might from buying it on Gilt.
Take a look at these stunning, artistic flat sandals by Rene Caovilla currently on sale at Gilt. They would be great to dress up a simple jeans and tee outfit or similarly with a pair of shorts. Good news: These shoes are over 50% off. Bad news: They still cost almost $450. I’ll just have to keep admiring the picture for now…
Super cute Rachel Pally dress on sale at Gilt today. Perfect for summer weekends and the print is so bold that little to no accessories are required.
This blouse by Rachel Zoe - and on sale at Gilt Groupe - is, as Ms. Zoe would say, BANANAS! It’s very simple but extremely versatile. As shown it could be styled with shorts or a pencil skirt. Having items you can dress up or down makes getting dressed each day a lot easier. I’m particularly found of the dark blue version of this blouse.
