Neon Nomad

Free People’s latest collection, Neon Nomad, is one clearer after my heart. Below are some of my favorite pieces. Can you tell I’m desperate for summer?

While going through CUSP’s gift recommendations for under $50, my eyes caught a glimpse of this beautiful Panacea necklace. The colors make me so excited for my trip to Miami in about two weeks. Just have to finish the first part of my master’s thesis before I can hop on the plane.
Anyway, for $48, I think this statement necklace is well priced and easy to incorporate into both work and casual outfits.
Are you adding this necklace to your holiday wishlist?

Happy Monday,  y’all! Glad this is a short week even though I have tons of work to complete before Turkey Day.
Saw this Karla Deras x Roman Luxe python triangle necklace on Julie Sarinana’s blog Sincerely, Jules. This is a must follow fashion blog that also includes Julie’s travels around the world for all things fashion. She paired it with a casual dress and camo jacket while traveling in Morocco (so jealous!) and I think that’s exactly how I’d wear it as well. The price of the necklace isn’t outrageous, especially for a piece that I know I’d wear a lot. What do you think or the necklace and how Julie styled it?

This statement necklace from ASOS is a beauty. Each piece of the necklace is unique and stunning. I also like that they’ve shown it styled with just a plain white shirt. It shows how easily the right accessories can transform an outfit.

Kate Spade Surprise 75% Off Sale

I’ve clearly been on a bag kick this week and this Kate Spade sale is certainly not helping me curb my cravings. Below are my favorites among many fabulous options available today (May 16th) until midnight.

I’ll take the New Bond Street Sawyer in every color available. It’s on sale for $149, which is a steal from its $395 original price tag.

And who can resist some bling? The Crystal Kaleidoscope Necklace is on sale for $69—a major save from $295.

Vacation Prep Continues

Had quite the adventure this weekend at the Potomac Mills Outlet Mall and IKEA. It was literally an all day, all night affair, but lots of shopping tasks were accomplished in preparation for my Costa Rica trip at the end of the month.

Acquired lots of neon-inspired clothing from Forever21, Old Navy, and Gap, including shorts, tees, an awesome pair of purple jeans, a button down shirt, and a necklace too!

Forever 21 Essential Fitted Tee in Mint $5.80Forever 21 Essential Fitted Tee in Bright Orange $5.80

Forever 21 Swirling Bead Necklace $5.80

Gap Boyfriend Roll Up Shorts

Old Navy Women's Perfect Khaki Shorts

Scored a similar pair of Nanette Lepore white pants for about $50 that are perfect for the office.

By far, one of my favorite purchases was this LeSportsac bag, which I am already actively using. It’s my new gym/beach bag.

The day ended with an IKEA trip. I know, that’s normally a whole day just on its own, but we managed to buy a new coffee table and liquor cabinet (both long sought after and greatly needed) in a short time.

IKEA Lack Coffee Table $40

Overall, bigeest accomplishments of the day were 1) buying ONLY items I actually needed vs. wanted 2) NOT buying anything in black!

Now all I need to work on are some new sandals. Easier said than done.

This Amirta Singh necklace is perfection. You can grab it on Rue La La for $50. Such a great piece for everyday or a special occasion.

This pearl necklace is so classy and modern! It’s honestly my ideal work necklace. Of course, at almost $500 (and that’s the sale price on Gilt), I’ll have to work for a very very very long time to afford it one day.

Just bought this Urban Tribe necklace from Jewel Mint (the Kate Boseworth-inspired line of the Beach Mint brands). See how I plan to style it in a follow-up post later today.
